A critical and complex part of the route, requiring careful consideration, planning and support from SRK Scaffolding was where it passed through the Bath World Heritage Site.

SRK Scaffolding have been providing various access scaffolds to overbridge reconstructions, including foot bridges, aqueducts and road bridges for numerous clients so our expertise in this type of work ensured the project was completed successfully.

All works were undertaken outside of normal working hours and included an access platform, to enable the brickwork parapets to be raised, erected off of alloy lattice D78 beams supported either side of the track on scaffold support towers. The sections of scaffold directly above and spanning the track were double boarded with a polythene infill and plywood upstand to ensure all debris was contained within the scaffolding.
